Elisa’s Diary Reading 2

ESSENTIAL QUESTION: How can overcoming a challenge change someone’s life? Think about this question and exchange ideas  with your parents. The answer is between you and your parents.

  Student’s Book Journeys ( pp.138-139 ) Use your dictionaries to find the definitions  and synonyms for each vocabulary words. They are ten words. Use your Reading notebook to work on your vocabulary words. This should be done by April 8th .

• First, listen to the story

• Second, listen to the story and read at the same time. This will help you with fluency,vocabulary, and comprehension

• Next, only read the story for better comprehension.

 

 

 

         As you read Elisa’ Diary look for the theme, or central message, of           the story. The main character’s behavior often provides clues to               the theme. Story (pp. 142-153 )
